A few useful details.

What is in this early release?

This release is for Android phones running Android 8.0 or newer. It includes a thumbnail library, YouTube website browsing and search, cinematic filters with strength controls, and experimental CPU/GPU neural restoration. Audio tracks, subtitles, HTTPS streams, speed, picture-in-picture, background audio, mirroring and sleep timer remain available for local videos and supported direct streams.

Wireless casting, a private vault and a dedicated tablet experience are planned for later. This is an independent app; it is not affiliated with InShot or XPlayer.

HD, HDR, effects and compatibility
  • Resolution, codecs, audio formats and HDR support depend on the media file and your device's decoder and display.
  • Cinematic filters change color. Experimental AI uses Anime4K Restore CNN S, best for animation and line art, at the source resolution. Results vary and can introduce artifacts; this does not convert SDR to HDR.
  • Local mirroring flips the image on the phone. Wireless screen mirroring and Chromecast are not included in this release.
  • Neural restoration bypasses HDR, oversized frames, unsupported GPUs and excessive processing time. CPU mode is for small videos; GPU mode probes actual support. This version does not use proprietary NPU or display processors.
  • Android System WebView must be current for YouTube. Availability, age restrictions and sign-in requirements depend on YouTube; some videos open externally.
  • The native player does not support protected subscription streams or DRM. YouTube playback remains under YouTube’s control. Filters, AI, downloads and background playback are unavailable for YouTube.
Privacy and permissions

Your video library, favorites and playback preferences are stored on the device. The app itself has no analytics or advertising. YouTube is a separate online service with its own ads, cookies, search history and Google privacy policy. Google sign-in opens outside this app.

Library scanning may ask for access to videos. You can use the system file picker to select individual files instead. Internet access is used for YouTube and streams you choose. YouTube receives your searches and browsing requests; stream providers receive stream connections. Neural restoration is processed locally. Background playback uses a media notification and Android's media service.

Uninstalling or clearing app data removes the app's saved library and preferences. Your original video files remain where you stored them.

Install, update and get help

Keep Google Play Protect enabled. If Android asks, temporarily allow installation from your browser, then turn that setting off after installation. This release uses the same signing identity as v0.1.0, so it can update the installed app.

For a playback issue, turn AI off, choose Natural, and try a local MP4 file. YouTube’s menu offers external playback if the in-app website is unavailable. If a selected file has moved or access was removed, add it again. Device battery restrictions can affect background playback.

Support: care@pronameshub.com. Include your phone model, Android version and a description of the issue; do not send private videos.
