AI Enhanced
There is no system-wide AI processing in this app. Other apps’ pixels are not captured.
The Android app offers an Open display settings shortcut and reports display resolution, refresh rate, HDR formats, and wide-color support when available. Reported support does not mean an enhancement is active. These are capability notes, not filters you can turn on here. Android does not give ordinary apps control of global saturation, sharpening, or AI enhancement.

A dedicated home for Extra Vivid, Ultra Vivid, Ultra HD, and AI Enhanced, with clear availability and phone display settings.
Color Tints
Eighteen shades. New cyan, teal, mint, emerald, lime, lemon, orange, coral, ruby, magenta, violet, and indigo join your favorites.
Install and enable
- Download and open the APK on your Android phone. Keep Play Protect enabled. If prompted, temporarily allow installation from your browser, then turn that permission off again.
- Open The Amazing Colors and tap Enable. Allow Display over other apps in Android Settings, return, and enable your selected mode.
- Open Soft & Reading or Color Tints, choose a mode, and adjust its intensity. Allow notifications for the Pause control. The effect stops when your phone locks; re-enable it when you want it again.
- Optionally add The Amazing Colors to Quick Settings using Android’s tile editor. When inactive, the tile opens the app.
Privacy and permissions
The app works offline. It has no internet permission, account, advertising, analytics, screen recording, or Accessibility service. It does not read other apps’ content. Your mode, intensity, and timer preferences remain on your phone.
Overlay access lets Android draw the tint above supported apps. An ongoing service keeps it active, with a notification Pause action when notifications are allowed.
Compatibility across Android brands
Designed for Android 8.0+ phones across brands, using standard Android features. No Google Play services or manufacturer-specific account is needed. Compatibility depends on the phone allowing screen overlays.
Open Compatibility in the app to check overlay permission, notifications, and battery restrictions, and reach the relevant Android settings. If a settings page is unavailable, the app tries a more general settings page. Names and options vary by phone.
Physical-phone testing is still pending. Automated checks cover Android versions and settings failures; they do not certify every brand or model.
Android 10 Go blocks new overlay permission. Some other Android Go devices and managed phones also restrict it. Android may exclude system bars, the keyboard, permission screens, and protected apps. Some apps reject touches through overlays.
Pause another active filter if multiple overlay apps affect touches. Pause this app from its controls or notification; you can also revoke Display over other apps in Android Settings. Force stopping or restarting ends the effect.
The sleep timer works while the service runs. The system can end it earlier. No medical or eye-strain benefit has been verified.
